Looks like the builds might be able to hang for 20 minutes with these changes.

[fix] A cancelled build never ends this wait. waitForDeploy only stops on ready or error, so if someone cancels the build in the UI, the CLI sits there for the full 20 minutes and then says the build may still be running.
logs already counts cancelled as a finished state (FINISHED_DEPLOY_STATES in src/commands/logs/sources/deploy.ts).

There isn't actually any cancelled state: https://github.com/netlify/bitballoon/blob/ee0f10240c15e5c34966203f3451efca965daec2/app/models/deploy.rb#L69-L87.
Cancellation moves the deploy into the error state: https://github.com/netlify/bitballoon/blob/ee0f10240c15e5c34966203f3451efca965daec2/app/models/deploy.rb#L598.

[consider] This never matches a bare owner/repo repo URL, which manual-provider projects can have (there's an acme/widget case in link.test.ts). Those would always fail with "no remote for acme/widget".
matchesRepoUrl already handles that for netlify link. Is the second matcher on purpose? The two disagree on what counts as the same repo now.

Interesting. "Manual provider" CD is a very... forgotten platform feature. It does appear to be correct that those can be configured with a bare owner/repo. I'm going to go ahead and punt here though, to keep the scope focused on the third-party git hosts we officially support. (Next up is expanding the scope anyway.)

[consider] This suffix gets added to every reason, including "isn't a clone" and "has no remote for", where committing and pushing isn't what fixes it.

I'm also unsure that this helpstring would clearly guide me toward a fix (but I don't have better phrasing to offer, so take this with a grain of salt).

[consider] This fails at the source check before it ever reaches the lock, so nothing covers --remote --prod on a locked project. Dropping the prepareProductionDeploy() call in remote-deploy.ts still passes everything.

Previously, `netlify deploy` for a project with a build step could only run the build step locally, where the command is run. This adds `netlify deploy --remote`, an option that asks Netlify to build and deploy the locally checked out commit instead of building locally, streams the build log, shows real-time build and deploy progress, and waits for the deploy to finish. As usual, `--prod` creates and publishes a production deploy. For now this only covers projects connected to a third-party git host, with a clean tree, and the checked out commit already on the remote. Anything else fails with what to do instead (commit and push, build locally, etc.). Flags that only make sense for local builds are rejected.
