- Read the about dialog credits from the installed AUTHORS file instead of a hard-coded list that had to be kept in sync by hand. Fall back to a single credits line if the file can not be read. - Add a Help > Authors menu item showing the AUTHORS file. - Add a short program description to the about dialog. - Take the last copyright year from a COPYRIGHT_YEAR define instead of a fixed 2019 string, keeping the translatable string stable. - Update the website and documentation links to oz9aec.dk. - Show the file name in the title of the help text windows. - Do not unref the about dialog logo if it failed to load. - Factor out gpredict_help_txt_file_name() so the about dialog and the help windows share the platform-specific file lookup.
- Translate the Help menu items, the about dialog description and the new copyright string in all languages. - Carry over existing translations of the help window title string to its new format string. - Fix the clashing Online help / About mnemonics in da and add a mnemonic to the Help menu in es. Translations for cs, el, es, fi, fr, id, it, lt, ru, th and uk were written without a native speaker review.
- Translate the TLE and transponder update menu items. The entries were
fuzzy and so never used, and the TLE ones had lost their mnemonics.
- Use clearer terms for module detach/attach ("entkoppeln"/"koppeln")
and full screen ("Vollbildmodus").
- Make trailing periods match the original strings.
- Fix the column alignment in the TLE update summary.
- Fix the "SIe" typo and the wording of the time controller reset
tooltip.
The Windows zip has AUTHORS, COPYING, NEWS and README in doc without a .txt suffix, but the lookup added one, so Help > License, Help > News, Help > Authors and the about dialog credits failed to load them.

Update the about dialog and help menu
About dialog
AUTHORSfile instead of a hard-coded list that had to be kept in sync by hand. If the file can't be read, the dialog shows a single "Alexandru Csete, OZ9AEC, and contributors" line instead.COPYRIGHT_YEARdefine (now 2026) instead of a fixed 2019 string. The translatable string becomesCopyright (C) 2001-%s …, so it no longer changes every year.Help menu
AUTHORSfile.Gpredict Info: %s).gpredict_help_txt_file_name()so the about dialog and the help windows share the platform-specific file lookup.Windows
AUTHORS,COPYING,NEWSandREADMEindocwithout a.txtsuffix (win32/Makefile,disttarget), but the lookup added one. Help → License and Help → News have failed to open since the zip layout changed in 2020, and without this fix Help → Authors and the about dialog credits would fail too.Translations
The cs, el, es, fi, fr, id, it, lt, ru, th and uk translations were written without review by a native speaker. Corrections are welcome.
Testing
AUTHORS, Help → Authors opens the file, and the German UI shows the new strings.msgfmt --checkpasses forpo/de.po.win32/Makefileby reading the code.
