docs: generalize private product vocabulary and owner-host wording - #482
Merged
Merged
Conversation
Two explore evidence reports named a private downstream application's components, case names and commit hashes; they now describe the fixture generically. The benchmark setup sections and the strategy note described the maintainer's own tooling and machine; they now state the actual condition (a 16 GiB memory cap, no other heavy job running). The duplicated landing guidance at the top of AGENTS.md is reduced to the branch line. Three tracked Python bytecode files are removed and __pycache__/ and *.pyc are ignored. No measured number, query text or conclusion changes.

- Line 62: Update the quiet-host condition in the benchmark report to match the
runner’s enforced check: state that no `capped-*` scope was running, rather than
referring to another session’s memory-capped job.

Public text in this fork no longer carries private product vocabulary, one maintainer's tooling names, or landing guidance that a rule set already supplies. This follows #468 and #476, which cleaned test strings and AGENTS.md wording but left the items below.
explore-requested-evidence.mdandexplore-selector-cache-evidence.mdnamed a private downstream application's components, case names and two downstream commit hashes. They now describe the fixture generically ("a private reproduction fixture taken from a downstream application"). The probe command in the first report uses placeholders (<vue-component-path> "<column-class-literal>") instead of the fixture's file and class names; the fixture's exact queries were never in this repository. No measured number, table value or conclusion changed.run-cappedhelper, itscapped-*scopes or a "host lock". Each now states the condition:nice -n 10under a 16 GiB memory cap (the 2026-09-28 fork-vs-upstream report states 16 GiB for index and 13 GiB for sync), and "no other memory-capped job was running". The 2026-10-12 report's "held the host lock" became "no other heavy job ran on the host", which is what the lock enforced.docs/design/strategy-2026-09.mdnow refers to "a downstream application" and "a downstream consumer", and drops the sentences that described one machine being killed by memory pressure. The argument is kept: memory use matters on a machine shared by many agent sessions..pycfiles underassets/__pycache__/andscripts/precision/__pycache__/are removed;.gitignoreignores__pycache__/and*.pyceverywhere (it covered onlyassets/__pycache__/).fork/consolidated, pull requests go to the fork, andnpm publishneeds explicit authorization.Checks:
npm run check:agent-docspasses (AGENTS.md is 12,742 of 32,768 bytes).__tests__/readme-sync.test.tspasses (6 tests). The repository's other tests read no changed file. README.md andsite/src/content/docs/contain none of the changed wording; README "About this fork" rows checked: none affected. Not changed: the test fixtures in
__tests__/window-message-synthesizer.test.tsand__tests__/near-duplicates.test.tsstill use identifiers that came from the same downstream application (TTD_AJAX_EVENT,publishTtdLivewire,ttdUrlOf). Renaming them changes assertions and similarity signatures, so it is left for its own change.Summary by cubic
Removes private product vocabulary and maintainer-specific tooling names from the fork's public docs so the text reads neutrally.
