Preserve extension SDK authors and expose effective list ordering - #1517
Conversation
Use the same explicit, environment, and workspace author resolution for native and CLI extension dispatch. Keep host-owned author options out of package flag validation, preserve per-call overrides, and retain audited author provenance for workspace settings writes. Expose priority in default brief rows and report the actual status-registry, priority, updated-time, and id comparator stages. Preserve explicit sorting, custom projections, compact responses, and sparse continuation envelopes. Compact brief JSON without dropping receipts, independently validate both supported JSON encodings in transcript accounting, and regenerate the public SDK/contracts and measured token baselines. Keep the existing output ceilings and complete cursor population checks intact. Add real extension history and CLI/native query regressions, update user-facing documentation, and record intake, linked verification, and operational evidence through pm-65srr0 and pm-zd46m7. Reuse the existing lock-throughput lineage for GH-1516 and track cooldown tooling and sparse continuation types separately.

Reviewer's GuideThe PR updates extension SDK author resolution to preserve caller precedence and history provenance, enriches default brief list responses with priority and machine-readable effective ordering, compacts brief JSON without losing envelope data, and makes transcript accounting independently support both JSON encodings while refreshing generated contracts and project artifacts. Require priority in the real package-first list-open acceptance check and its driver fixture. Add the typed relationships required by the unchanged graph context gate for operational evidence and the contention predecessor. Record successful source-identical coverage for all four shards, the strict 100% merge and exact uncovered-count gate, linked author/list/accounting tests, mutation evidence, integrity checks, and available review feedback. Preserve local timing failures, legacy advisories, and external review limits as separate claims instead of widening admission thresholds. Close and release pm-65srr0 and pm-zd46m7 with atomic structured evidence. Regenerate and check the two Unreleased changelog entries using the newly published pm-changelog 2026.10.20 package, and retain discovery work in its canonical open lineage.

Use the canonical repository URL for the attribution tracker and explain that the tracker is excluded from npm. The runtime-primitives page ships with the package, so its new relative tracker link would otherwise target a missing file. Record the review correction and focused build/content verification on pm-65srr0 while retaining its completed implementation and closure evidence.

Emit effective_keys only for flat default reads. Hierarchy traversal moves a parent ahead of its children after sorting, so it cannot claim global priority order. Add a real native and CLI parent-priority-4/child-priority-0 regression that fails before the guard while preserving positive flat-order assertions. Correct the default JSON row description to include priority and make the new list tracker link usable from npm documentation. Record the review findings, red/green evidence, and atomic reclosure on pm-zd46m7. All four current-source coverage shards and exact 100% merge pass with 10,830 tests and three skips; linked 171-test verification, type checks, lint, docs and terminal gates pass. Document newly arrived GH-1518 and GH-1519 reports in distinct canonical open, unclaimed items with typed predecessor links and issue comments. Preserve the completed TTL/takeover and context-intake scopes and keep the supplied reports separate from independently reproduced current-head defects.

Summary
Injected extension SDK writes now retain the caller's author precedence and history provenance. Default brief lists show priority and their effective ordering, exposing the context needed to choose work without a full read.

Validation
Operational and review evidence
Current npm/npx/Bun/bunx and installed-agent verification passes for today's existing release; these fixes are eligible for the next daily release. No second automatic release was triggered. Historical scheduled-release reliability remains tracked by pm-prrlce.
Four real read probes have fresh Sentry spans and matching telemetry start/finish pairs; local and broker queues drained. Required Sentry/telemetry gate passes: zero recent critical/high issues, 2.36% finish-error rate, zero missing error codes.
Initial hosted coverage and six cold-transport budgets pass. The local static run retains a qualified get timing miss and an unqualified rerun; thresholds were preserved. Initial CodSpeed's -1.42% fingerprint comparison changes Node/V8 and CPU environments while the measured source is unchanged; that limitation is documented in PM.
CodeRabbit's later full review found a false flat-sort claim for tree traversal and an older JSON-row description that omitted priority. Both are corrected, with a real red/green native/CLI hierarchy regression and fresh full coverage. Sourcery quota, Greptile trial expiry and Cubic monthly free limits prevent their reviews; those signals do not establish approval. Final head b8ebd92 passes every required check with no pending/missing contexts and CLEAN merge state. Exact-commit analyzer admission passes: DeepScan zero new issues and CodeFactor zero outstanding annotations. CodeRabbit completed a fresh full review of all 49 changed files against this exact head with no actionable comments; the addressed thread is resolved.
