On Unix and macOS, different spellings of the same XDG home and site directory could make directory iterators and file searches return duplicate results. They now return the location once, with the user directory first.

The shared iterator logic compares paths to recognize lexical equivalents. It keeps the first spelling in string results and evaluates later directories only as requested.
