Async commands printed one status line per poll, which filled the terminal during a slow operation such as a namespace move. On a terminal, progress now rewrites a single line with an animated ellipsis, and the final status stays on its own line.

When output is not a terminal, such as when piped, redirected, or run in CI, it is unchanged: one line per poll, so logs and scripts that read it see no difference. JSON output still carries no progress lines. Piped output was checked against main for both the current and legacy poll loops and is byte-identical.

Applies to every async command.
