Relaxes the duckdb dev dependency from <=1.2.2 to >=1.5,<1.6. The upper bound stays because the substrait community extension isn't published for duckdb 2.0.0 yet, so an unbounded pin would let a lock refresh break the duckdb integration tests.
Updated the DuckDB example to use current table-conversion APIs and handle extension-installation errors more reliably.
Tests
Updated DuckDB integration checks for schema and query-result retrieval, creating tables from Arrow data, and running limited queries across supported engines. These checks now use current DuckDB APIs.
The example and development dependency declarations update DuckDB versions and constraints. The integration tests use to_arrow_table(), create tables from Arrow data, and include DuckDB in the test_select_limit engine parameterization.
The example pins DuckDB to version 1.5.6, catches duckdb.HTTPException, and uses to_arrow_table() for schema access. The development dependency requires DuckDB >=1.5,<1.6 without a Python-version marker.
The tests use to_arrow_table() for schema and result conversion, create stores and sales tables from Arrow data, and use engines for test_select_limit.

Explanation
The title "chore: relax duckdb pin to 1.5.x" is a valid Conventional Commit and names the main change. The changeset pins DuckDB to 1.5.x in the dev dependency group (pyproject.toml now requires >=1.5,<1.6, replacing <=1.2.2), and updates the example and integration tests to match the 1.5 API (to_arrow_table() instead of .arrow(), from_arrow(...).create(...) instead of register(...)). The title captures the dependency change but not the API migration in the example and tests, which is an expected gap for a short title. The wording "relax" is slightly loose because the change moves the pin to a new range rather than removing the upper bound, but the title is still accurate.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description states what changes: the duckdb dev dependency moves from <=1.2.2 to >=1.5,<1.6. It also gives the rationale: the upper bound stays because the substrait community extension is not yet published for duckdb 2.0.0, and an unbounded pin could let a lock refresh break the duckdb integration tests. The template asks for a Conventional Commit title and a rationale section. The description covers the rationale. It does not mention the example and test API changes, and it does not address whether the change is breaking. The template also states that the description becomes changelog input, so a short note on the test and example updates would help reviewers and changelog readers. These gaps are non-critical, so the check passes.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 1 functions across 2 files. (1 skipped: 1 unsupported.)
Resolution

Please regenerate pixi.lock with pixi v0.73.0 or newer (the version CI pins): the merge resolution rewrote it in the older v6 lock format, so pixi lock --check fails and the next pixi command silently rewrites it to v7. Running pixi lock on this branch fixes it and only changes the format.
