Enable "Working Directory" head in the history graph from Preferences / Appearance
This is common in GitKraken and in Hg Workbench
Show local changes as a selectable working-directory row above HEAD in history. Selecting it opens the existing Local Changes editor in the details area, with shared staging state and commit-message drafts.
Add an Appearance preference with Hide (the default), show when changes exist, and always show modes. Keep selection and graph connections in sync as status, HEAD, and the preference change; exclude bare repositories.
Validation:
dotnet format --verify-no-changes src/SourceGit.csprojdotnet run --project tests/WorkingDirectoryChecks/WorkingDirectoryChecks.csproj -- --render— 157 checks passed, including status refresh, selection, graph connections, preference persistence, and layout checks.Based on upstream
develop.
