Ten registry defaults for images OSISM builds still name quay.io:
ceph_docker_registry, dnsmasq_docker_registry and
docker_registry_{ansible,cephclient,cgit,dnsdist,homer,netbox,nexus,
openstackclient}. OSISM stopped pushing to quay.io. The OSISM 9 and 10
release notes asked operators to override these registries "during the
transition phase", but the defaults were never switched.
quay.io/osism is frozen at 2025-02-17. Every image built since is
missing there -- ceph-daemon:tentacle, ceph-daemon:20.2.4,
cephclient:tentacle, kolla-ansible:2026.1 -- and the older tags are
stale. A configuration that does not override these registries, such
as one fresh from cfg-cookiecutter, therefore cannot pull the Ceph
images of a Tentacle deployment at all, and pulls 2025-02 images
otherwise. All ten repositories exist on registry.osism.tech/osism, the
registry the release pins and the role defaults already refer to.
Set them to registry.osism.tech. The upstream registries stay:
docker_registry_zuul (quay.io/zuul-ci) and the index.docker.io entries.
Configurations that already override these registries are unaffected.
Defaults are pinned per release, so this reaches releases built from
this version on.
UpgradeImpact: OSISM-built images are pulled from registry.osism.tech
unless the configuration names another registry.
