Hi there, I'm Okan okankop.github.io 👋

I'm a senior researcher at Microsoft working on audio tasks such as Speaker Diarization, Spatial Voice Isolation, Deep Noise Suppression (DNS), Personalized DNS, Deep Echo Cancellation, Sound Source Localization, Dialogue Enhancement and Voice Activity Detection. Previously, I wad a PhD Student at Technical University of Munich, supervised by Prof. Gerhard Rigoll. Before that, I received my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Technical University of Munich and my Bachelor's degree from Boğaziçi University in 2017 and 2014, respectively.

I am specialized in designing efficient deep neural network architectures across audio, vision, and multi-modal tasks, from research prototype to production deployment on NPUs, CPUs, and GPUs. I have strong experience in shipping research into products at scale.
