Type: Bug
Description
There is a noticeable delay/lag when using the "Run Python File" button in the integrated terminal after the first execution.
Steps to Reproduce
- Click the Play button ("Run Python File") -> Executes normally.
- Modify the code or try to click Play again -> Terminal freezes for several seconds before sending the command.
Key Clues
• Debug Python File works instantly on every single execution. The delay only happens with the normal Play button.
• Disabling Terminal > Integrated > Shell Integration does not fix the issue.
• The issue is not present when running the script manually from an external Windows PowerShell/CMD window.
Suggestions / Expected Behavior
We really appreciate and look forward to the new Shell Integration features (like command decorations, sticky scroll, etc.) brought by recent updates. However, the execution speed shouldn't be compromised.
Please fix this terminal handshake delay/bug so we can enjoy both a fast, instant execution and the new terminal improvements at the same time
