Redesign: article page #32
Description
Part of the redesign build (parent issue linked in the sidebar). Targets the redesign branch. Needs the foundations issue.
Build the article page from the design chosen in the Paper file (page "Variations", artboard "V2 · Article — Serif text"), with the column widened from 680px to 720px. An export of that design is docs/redesign/paper/article-v2.png on the redesign branch.
- A centred 720px column. "← All writing" (13px, muted) goes to the Writing section of the home.
- Meta line: date · reading time · project, in 12px mono with 0.04em tracking; the project in the accent colour.
- Title: mono 38px/48px, -0.05em.
- Text: Newsreader 20px/32px (18px/29px on phones). Inline code in mono 16px. Links in the accent colour, underlined.
##headings: mono 22px/30px, 48px above.###: mono 18px/26px, 36px above. Headings inside the content show again (today every#is hidden), with a proper hierarchy under the page title.- Lists: muted bullets, or mono numbers, hanging 22px or 28px.
- Tables: header in 11px muted mono with an ink line under it; rows separated by a light line; numbers right-aligned in 104px mono columns; a highlighted row with the tint background and an accent line on its left; caption in 12px muted mono.
- Figures: the image on a grey panel with 16px padding, caption in 12px muted mono.
- After the text: a "Part of the project" panel (screenshot, name, one line, link) when the article belongs to a project, then Previous and Next.
- Meta description from a
descriptionfield, falling back to an excerpt. - YouTube embeds from youtube-nocookie.com, loaded lazily.
- The corner pattern is masked behind the text column (see the background and map issue).

redesign).The article ↔ project mapping is kept in this repo, in
src/data/projects.ts, by article id. Nothing was pushed to meaningfool-writing. I took it from the prototype'smaps.js:edit-collections-generative-ai,structured-extraction,thoughts-on-human-ai-collaborationagent-frameworks-for-the-rest-of-usantigravity_is_onto_somethingThe same module holds the three projects' details for #31 and #34: type, date, line, link and screenshot.
Two things depend on content or on #31:
Table: …paragraph after the table (past a blank line) is its caption. The structured-extraction article needs both added in meaningfool-writing to look like the design.
