Tracer for the feature-table standard (Glenn, 2026-10-17). The generator is in mas-bandwidth/nova-tools#5960. Not for merge until the cold read.

Rendered: https://github.com/mas-bandwidth/netcode.go/blob/rowan/roadmap-feature-tables/ROADMAP.md

Generator: nova-roadmap, a nova-tools release binary (mas-bandwidth/nova-tools#5960). make roadmap / make roadmap-check download the pinned NOVA_ROADMAP_VERSION (v1.6.0) into bin/ and verify it against the release SHA256SUMS; CI needs no Go. The roadmap CI job stays red until a nova-tools release carrying nova-roadmap exists (v1.6.0 if #5960 lands in it; otherwise bump the pin). Held until then, with the nova-sprint defer/lander change.

ROADMAP.md is now the standard feature-table page (Glenn, 2026-10-17),
generated by nova-tools tools/roadmap from docs/roadmap.sexp: five areas
(connection, security, networking, compatibility, testing), 44 features,
each done one carrying the test or commit that proves it and the main
commit whose CI passed with it (b709cb1).

The eight card-list items: issue #22 (VersionFull 1.4.4) is done, since
main tracks C 1.4.8 (#24, #29); the seven open sprint items are open rows
keeping their card and pull request ids. Amplification protection is open
until a test asserts the request/challenge sizing.

make roadmap renders, make roadmap-check fails on drift, and CI runs it.

The roadmap generator is now nova-roadmap, a nova-tools release binary
(mas-bandwidth/nova-tools#5960), so this repository needs no Go module
or checkout for it: make roadmap / make roadmap-check download the pinned
binary (NOVA_ROADMAP_VERSION, v1.6.0) once into bin/ and check it against
the release's SHA256SUMS, and the CI job runs make roadmap-check with no
setup-go step. The page's notice now names nova-roadmap.
