Hello, Can you give me more details on what's not working for you? Can you try disconnecting and re-connecting to your WSL environment ?

[SGA-ishii-hiroyuki]

ops sorry I have never noticed I created a issue. I will close all of mines

[Davsterl]

Is it working correctly again for you?

[SGA-ishii-hiroyuki]

No. I connected to WSL env with v1.23 but the connection is broken with v1.24. Even If I remove the settings and retried, the app says

Couldn't connect to Ubuntu. Try again. If the problem continues, open Settings → Environments.

Hope it will be fixed soon

FYI. Once the settings deleted, I can not connect to WSL anymore. (v1.24 and v1.25) (I restart my PC and wsl but it did not fixed the prob)

[Davsterl]

Do you mind sending logs ?

[SGA-ishii-hiroyuki]

sorry for the security reason, I can not share my logs

[Davsterl]

Not a problem. I completely understand.
An internal user hit something maybe similar and reported that restarted the app when in a disconnected state like this, then trying to reconnect worked for them.
If you're able to (And I fully understand if not) , I don't need full logs but if you could open %USERPROFILE%\.copilot\logs\github-app.<pid for the app, probably the most recent>.log after clicking connect
then look for :
wsl rehydrate failed
or
WSL environment setup failed
or WSL environment connection failed
The error= field on that line is what I'd need to diagnose

here my logs copilot masking. hope it will help you

# Root cause: the WSL remote host entry lost its linked GitHub account binding,
# so reconnect ("rehydrate") is refused until an account is re-selected for it,
# leaving the host unregistered and all dependent subscriptions failing.

[Davsterl]

Thank you. that's very helpful!
I'm still not fully sure what might be happening there but can you try running :
wsl.exe -d Ubuntu -- pkill -TERM -x copilotd
to kill any lingering instances of the host, then try to connect?

[SGA-ishii-hiroyuki]

Good, but unfortunately the command you show me does not work.
