…n 1.15.0->1.15.1 pin bump Additive verification harness only; production code untouched. Checks (all contract polarity): - A1 unit/shell: pin<->upstream-tag authenticity via git ls-remote, cross-workflow drift, stale v1.15.0 pin absence. - A2 integration/shell: workflow YAML parses; kind-action steps pin version + kubectl_version explicitly and leave version_file / cloud_provider unset, making the upstream v1.15.1 defaults inert. Harness-bites evidence (tampered inputs go red) in results/.

Verified the dependabot bump end to end rather than trusting the bot: the pinned SHA 1544676c is exactly helm/kind-action's v1.15.1 tag commit (ls-remote / GitHub API checked by both of us), the old v1.15.0 pin is gone repo-wide, every with: input still exists in v1.15.1, and the upstream delta (kubectl default v1.37.1, cloud-provider-kind 0.12.0, opt-in version_file) is provably inert because both workflows set version and kubectl_version explicitly and never enable cloud_provider. The kind tool-cache layout is unchanged, so the existing cache path/key still holds. All CI is green on this head, including the full 10-job e2e matrix that exercises the bumped action — tide only awaits the usual approved/lgtm labels. No blocking findings; Reviewer C (Copilot) also raised nothing.
Next round
[MUST] (none — no PR-introduced blockers)
[SHOULD] While in the neighborhood: refresh the stale comment on kind-e2e.yml:61 (still narrates kind v0.29.0) and consider SHA-pinning actions/cache@v6 — the last tag-pinned action left — both pre-existing nits, either is fine as a follow-up.
[Filed] (none)
Non-blocking observations (2) — not part of this round's ask; fix now, follow up, or file an issue as you see fit
- .github/workflows/kind-e2e.yml:61 — Stale comment documents kind v0.29.0 while the pin is v0.31.0 [nit] — pre-existing, not introduced by this PR
- .github/workflows/kind-e2e.yml:53 — actions/cache@v6 is the last tag-pinned action in the repo's workflows [nit] — pre-existing, not introduced by this PR
Verified review delta
- stale-kind-version-comment: open (preexisting)
- actions-cache-tag-pin: open (preexisting)
Code: clear. CI: success; attribution: unknown. Required CI checks still apply.
