conformance: solc emits the $ pointer vocabulary, but after #323 spec will use ~ #324
#323 switches the format's own terms inside pointer expressions from $ to ~ (~wordsize, ~this, ~sum, ~read, ~keccak256, ~sized<N>, and so on; #310). solc still writes the $ spellings in the pointers it emits (in ethdebug.resources and in the programs beside evm.bytecode / evm.deployedBytecode), so its output no longer validates against ethdebug/format/pointer/expression.
To keep the solc + soldb conformance job meaningful in the meantime, packages/conformance/test/conformance.test.ts has withSolcTildeVocabulary. Before validating, it rewrites a copy of solc's programs and resources from the $ terms to the ~ terms, so everything else is still checked. SolDB still reads solc's original output. The function also asserts that solc's output has no ~ term, so the test fails with "solc now emits the ~ term ...; remove withSolcTildeVocabulary" as soon as solc starts emitting ~.
To close this:
solc emits the ~ terms in place of the $ ones.
Remove withSolcTildeVocabulary and validate solc's artifact as it is.
