Database export SSL error with wordpress:cli #999

Closed

Description

@tcdaly

I'm attempting to export a database backup from a Wordpress site using Docker wordpress:cli. I get an SSL error:

mariadb-dump: Got error: 2026: "TLS/SSL error: Certificate verification failure: The certificate is NOT trusted." when trying to connect

Any guidance on how to disable SSL connections to MySQL? I've tried two things so far without success:

In compose.yaml:

environment: MYSQL_SSL_MODE: DISABLED

and require_secure_transport=OFF in my.cnf.

    I think putting this in your my.cnf in wherever wp will read it along with --defaults on your wp db export command should get it to not error on the self-signed certificate. There is probably also a way to load/trust the self "CA" instead of ignoring it.
