Wallets are starting to register scoped, expiring keys on an identity on behalf of external applications (a dApp asks the wallet for access; the wallet registers a key with bounds and an expiry rather than handing over one of the identity's own keys). Those keys need to be derived from the seed without any wallet-local counter, so that any wallet restored from the same mnemonic derives exactly the same keys, on any device, in any order. The encryption keys additionally need to be keyed by the data contract they are bound to, so the key belongs to the data it protects rather than to the application that asked for it: a second application the user authorizes for the same contract derives the same pair and can read the same documents. And an identity must be able to replace a contract's encryption key, for example to cut off an application it no longer trusts, without breaking how wallets find the key.
This PR registers two new sub-features under the DIP-13 identity feature (5') and updates the DIP-9 assignment row for it. Existing sub-features 0'–5' are untouched.
0' ECDSA secp256k1. 1' (BLS) is reserved: DIP-14 256-bit children are defined only for secp256k1
identity id'
the identity's own 32-byte unique identifier as a DIP-14 256-bit hardened child
request id'
a 256-bit value the application protocol fixes: different for every key, the same when a request is retried. App Connect uses hash256 of the request public key followed by the binding's index; DIP-14 256-bit hardened child
contract id'
the 32-byte id of the data contract the key is bound to (not the application's id), as a DIP-14 256-bit hardened child; a key bound to a single document type still uses the contract id
key purpose'
hardened 31-bit child: 1' ENCRYPTION, 2' DECRYPTION, the identity key purpose the derived key is registered with, so an identity holds a DashPay-style pair per contract
rotation'
hardened 31-bit child: 0' for the first key, one higher each time the identity replaces it. Restore derives 0', 1', … until one is not on the identity
Why DIP-14 leaves instead of DIP-13 key indices
The key index' under sub-feature 0' is a wallet-local counter. Two devices restored from one seed would race for the next index, and recovery would have to scan past every dead session key to find the live ones. With the identity id and the request id or contract id as 256-bit hardened leaves, nothing wallet-local is an input: session keys are ephemeral and are never rediscovered (their public halves and lifetime live on the identity), and an encryption key is found on the identity by its contract bounds and then re-derived from that contract's id and rotation.
First consumer
App Connect (#181), the wallet sign-in protocol used by Yappr with dashwallet-ios and dash-wallet (Android). It defines the session request id and when an encryption key may be rotated.
…ncryption sub-features
Registers identity sub-features 6' (per-login session authentication keys) and 7' (per-contract application encryption keys), both with DIP-14 256-bit hardened leaves keyed by the identity id and by a request id or bound data contract id, so that wallets derive them without wallet-local indices. Updates the DIP-9 feature 5' assignment row.

DIP-0013 defines derivation paths for Application Session Authentication and Application Encryption keys. DIP-0009 registers both paths under Identity Keys.
The DIP-0009 registry entry for Application Encryption is missing the final rotation level that DIP-0013 specifies. Wallets following the registry could derive different paths and miss rotated keys. Update the DIP-0009 entry before merging.

Adds sub-features 6' (application session authentication) and 7' (application encryption) under m/9'/coin_type'/5'/ from the DIP-13 amendment in dashpay/dips#191: the sub-feature constants and mainnet / testnet roots in dip9.rs, two DerivationPathReference variants (declared after Root because the bincode derive encodes variants by position), and DerivationPath::application_session_authentication_path / application_encryption_path in bip32.rs, with ApplicationKeyPurpose next to KeyDerivationType for the trailing key purpose level. The identity, request and contract ids are DIP-14 256-bit hardened children.
Tests pin the path strings on both networks and the derived public keys for the all-zero-entropy mnemonic, with the uniform ids dashpay/platform already pins (so moving the derivation here moves no key) and with non-uniform ids so a byte-order or argument-order change fails.

The identity, request and contract id levels are DIP-14 256-bit children, which DIP14 defines only for secp256k1 derivation, and the encryption pair is used for secp256k1 ECDH. Key type 1' (BLS) is therefore reserved on sub-features 6' and 7' rather than offered: a BLS deriver has no defined way to derive the 256-bit levels.

Several session keys per request. An app that writes to a contract group plus the DashPay profile document needs one AUTH key per binding. The profile derives m/9'/coin'/5'/6'/0'/identityId'/requestId'/bindingIndex'. Adding the trailing bindingIndex', or an equivalent rule, would keep wallets interoperable.
The encryption key's scope. The profile binds the app's ENCRYPTION key to a stable "app anchor" contract, rather than to each contract the app re-cuts. It derives the key at sub-feature 7′ with that contract id, plus a rotation index so the key is re-sent and never rotated silently. Worth stating explicitly that the contract id here can be an app anchor contract and not necessarily the contract the data lives in.

Application encryption keys get a final hardened rotation' level, so an
identity can replace a contract's key without changing how wallets find
it: restore derives rotations 0', 1', ... until one is not on the
identity.
The session key request id is now defined generically: the application
protocol fixes it, unique per key and stable across a retried request.
The previous text recommended hash256 of the bare request public key,
which App Connect reserves for the earlier one-key protocol; App Connect
appends the authentication binding's index.

…ption paths (#1250)
The application encryption path is about to become permanent on mainnet.
DIP-13 (dashpay/dips#191, used by App Connect in dashpay/dips#181) ends it
with a hardened 31-bit rotation level so an identity can replace the
encryption key for a contract:
m/9'/coin'/5'/7'/0'/identityId'/contractId'/purpose'/rotation',
serialised as ser32(rotation + 2^31), with rotation 0' first.
`DerivationPath::application_encryption_path` now takes `rotation: u32` and
returns `Result`, failing with `Error::InvalidChildNumber` if the rotation
does not fit in 31 bits.
Migration: callers pass the rotation (0 for a first key) and handle the
`Result`. The old 8-level layout moved to
`application_encryption_path_without_rotation`, which wallets derive only to
recognise keys that pre-DIP wallets registered on testnet and devnet.
The pinned vectors now cover the rotation keys and keep the legacy pins
against the renamed function.

The application encryption path ends with a hardened 31-bit rotation level
(dashpay/dips#191, used by the App Connect DIP, dashpay/dips#181):
m/9'/coin'/5'/7'/0'/identityId'/contractId'/purpose'/rotation'
with rotation 0' first. Without it the path becomes permanent with the first
mainnet key and a compromised or retired key could never be replaced.
platform-mobile: application_encryption_private_key_from_seed takes a
rotation (below 2^31, an error otherwise) and appends it as a hardened level.
The 8-level path without rotation stays available as
application_encryption_legacy_private_key_from_seed, only to recognise keys
that wallets registered on testnet/devnet before the rotation level existed.
Tests pin the DIP vectors for both paths (abandon x11 about, mainnet).
Bindings: Ferment output for dash-sdk-bindings and dash-sdk-android now has
the new signature and the legacy function (regenerated with cargo build of
dash-sdk-bindings; the Android copy carries the same two functions), plus a
SWIG rename for applicationEncryptionLegacyPrivateKeyFromSeed.
Kotlin: ApplicationKeyDerivation.encryption gains a required rotation
parameter, so callers must choose it; new keys use 0. The pre-rotation path
is the explicitly named legacyEncryptionWithoutRotation.

Motivation
This PR registers two new sub-features under the DIP-13 identity feature (
5') and updates the DIP-9 assignment row for it. Existing sub-features0'–5'are untouched.Paths
sub feature'6'session authentication,7'application encryptionkey type'0'ECDSA secp256k1.1'(BLS) is reserved: DIP-14 256-bit children are defined only for secp256k1identity id'request id'contract id'key purpose'1'ENCRYPTION,2'DECRYPTION, the identity key purpose the derived key is registered with, so an identity holds a DashPay-style pair per contractrotation'0'for the first key, one higher each time the identity replaces it. Restore derives0',1', … until one is not on the identityWhy DIP-14 leaves instead of DIP-13 key indices
The
key index'under sub-feature0'is a wallet-local counter. Two devices restored from one seed would race for the next index, and recovery would have to scan past every dead session key to find the live ones. With the identity id and the request id or contract id as 256-bit hardened leaves, nothing wallet-local is an input: session keys are ephemeral and are never rediscovered (their public halves and lifetime live on the identity), and an encryption key is found on the identity by its contract bounds and then re-derived from that contract's id and rotation.First consumer
App Connect (#181), the wallet sign-in protocol used by Yappr with dashwallet-ios and dash-wallet (Android). It defines the session request id and when an encryption key may be rotated.
