Summary

A CRL cached by URL was only signature-checked when first fetched. If a certificate from another issuer used the same URL, the cached CRL could be consulted without verifying that issuer. When the issuer can be resolved, check the signature on every use before reading revocation entries.

The regression test reuses one cached CRL with matching and different issuers.

Fixes #1033.

Verification

  • go test ./revoke
  • go vet ./revoke
  • CGO_ENABLED=0 go build -o /tmp/cfssl-revoke-check ./cmd/cfssl
  • git diff --check
