The original web client was built in a learning frenzy by yours truly, so much so that it's really hard to debug a 4000-line single page app that's all in one file. I've learned some of the difficulties of web development (the hard way).
Hence, I've begun rewriting the client using Mantine, which should make things more of a breeze by giving me premade components that are consistently maintained to use at my leisure. Working logic around those components has proven to be very easy so far. I'm pretty hopeful that this rewrite will turn a single 4000-line file into several multi-hundred line files in which it is massively easier to understand what's going on.
I want to get to 100% coverage of the API before switching from web1. We'll see how far it gets before the decision to switch over for quality of life is made. At that point, the choice will be obvious.
