fix(resolve): link Go calls through a local that shadows a project package - #461
Conversation
…ckage A Go local declared as `log := log.G(ctx)` took the name of the imported project package from its own line, so `log.G` and the later `log.Errorf` both stayed unresolved. A project package named like a standard-library one (`log`, `context`) was also taken for the standard library even with nothing shadowing it. On the right of a `:=` the name now means what it meant before the line, and an import that resolves inside the module is no longer dropped as a standard-library call.

is_shadowed_import to limit the short-declaration exception to references on the
right-hand side before the declaration statement ends, using the reference’s
start-column position rather than its line alone. Preserve normal local-binding
resolution for later same-line references such as log.Errorf.

…ts right A factory call whose package name is declared beside the receiver, as in `logger, log := log.G(ctx), 0`, looked the package up as the new local and linked nothing. The lookup now passes over a local declared on that line for any name on the left, not only the receiver.
…ight side A call after a `;` on the declaring line, as in `log := log.G(ctx); log.Errorf(x)`, is a later statement and sees the new local, not the package. The check now reads the call's column and the statement's end, and the factory lookup passes the factory call's own column.

In Go,
log := log.G(ctx)now linkslog.Gto the project package's function and the laterlog.Errorfto the method of the logger it returns. Before, both stayed unresolved. Two causes, both in the native resolver:
:=line the new local hid the imported package. The right of a:=now sees what the name meant before the line (innermost_binding_unless, used for receiver lookup, the shadowed-import check and the factory-call lookup).log.…,context.…) ignored where the import came from. It now keeps a reference when the file imports that name from inside the module, so a directlog.G(ctx)into a project package namedloglinks too.The earlier attempt shifted the lookup line by one, which stayed inside the local's scope and fixed nothing; this replaces it.
The
it.failstest for this gap is now an ordinary test (log.Gon the declaration line, log.Errorfafter it, a directlog.Gin another function, logger, log := log.G(ctx), 0, and a second statement after a;on the declaring line). Each assertion fails without the change that covers it.The shadow exception applies to every name a
:=line declares, and only to a reference on the right side before the next;. A declaration whose right side starts on a later line (log :=thenlog.G(ctx)on the next line) still links nothing, as before; the binding rows carry no statement extent.Checks:
README rows checked: the Go resolution paragraph under About this fork (one sentence extended); no quoted number moves. CHANGELOG entry added under Unreleased Fixes.
