Description

Written with LLM assistance.

In #8, we added logic that governs how nodes move into and out of the ring as their connection state changes. This PR adds e2e logic that asserts that those transitions happen the way that we're expecting.

Changes

  • Add e2e tests that use toxiproxy to simulate nodes that move in and out of service and become unreachable
  • Add infra around those tests
  • Add the tests to workflows

Testing

Review. See that tests pass. I also rebased this against #4, which we expected to behave badly; the goaway test failed with excessive churn.
