No issue: release preparation for 0.5.0 (#425).

Summary

The last pre-release sweep found three places that still described master as the 0.4 line:

  • CHANGELOG.md: a release notice under ## [Unreleased], as docs/DEVELOPMENT.md#releasing describes. The release copies it to the top of the release body. It points to the 0.5.0 migration guide and says 0.4.1 is the last 0.4.x release.
  • SECURITY.md: the supported line becomes 0.5.x, and fixes ship as 0.5.x patches. 0.4.x gets no more releases, with a link to the migration guide.
  • CLAUDE.md: master now carries 0.5.0, so it no longer says it "stays 0.4.x-compatible".

scripts/changelog_release.py --version 0.5.0 --dry-run accepts the notice. It produces the notice and then 7 Added, 3 Changed and 2 Removed entries from the 12 fragments.

Checklist

  • The issue above is assigned to me: no issue
  • Tests under tests/ cover the change: docs only. tests/test_changelog_release.py passes.
  • A changelog fragment: not applicable. The notice is the one hand edit to CHANGELOG.md that the release process allows.
  • uv run pre-commit run --all-files passes, and so do both zensical build --strict runs.
