57-57: TypeCharsignificantly widened.Changing

Approved per request. Wrapper tests are deterministic and PR workflow exists, but all integration tests mock @absmartly/javascript-sdk; they do not cover the real JS SDK/context behavior underneath the wrapper. The PR check rollup also only showed CodeRabbit, not a completed workflow run.

CHANGES REQUESTED - Multiple reachable runtime regressions and a mandatory repository check fails
Reviewed head: 0b110202e734da56f378d529053b8eedcec2cb9a
Merge-base: 39bcfe5ecd01d36dcad5587170c8b345676d1bbd
The PR intends to add SSR/readiness support, error handling, stricter types, and broader tests for the React SDK. I reviewed the complete merge-base..head range, including the PR description, commits, changed files, existing discussion/reviews, exact-head statuses, and introduced content writes.
[P2] Recalculate treatments when the hook inputs change on a ready context
useTreatment initializes from the first name/peek and then exits the effect whenever isContextReady is true. On an already-ready context, changing the hook from experiment A to experiment B therefore leaves the old variant in state. This is reachable through the normal useTreatment(name) entry point and the base effect did not have this early return. The required outcome is that the returned variant corresponds to the current name and peek inputs after rerender.
[P2] Forward changed attributes to the context
useContextReady stores the latest attributes in a ref but omits attributes from the effect dependencies. A mounted Treatment or TreatmentFunction whose context, name, and readiness remain unchanged never calls context.attributes() with a newly supplied attributes object, whereas both pre-PR effects reran for that prop. The required outcome is that a changed attributes prop is applied to the context and subsequent treatment evaluation observes it.
[P2] Keep the documented browser support compatible with the implementation
TreatmentFunction now calls Object.fromEntries, but the README continues to claim IE11 support and the package does not install/activate a runtime polyfill for this API. The ready treatment path reaches this call and throws in IE11 before rendering. The required outcome is that the declared supported browser path can execute the treatment-variable conversion.
[P2] Preserve the function fallback ErrorInfo contract
getDerivedStateFromError causes the first fallback render before componentDidCatch sets state.errorInfo; the callback at ErrorBoundary.tsx:50 consequently receives runtime null despite its declared ErrorInfo parameter. Consumers that read errorInfo.componentStack can fail during the fallback render. The required outcome is that the function-form fallback receives a valid value matching its public contract, or that the contract explicitly permits the initial absence and consumers can handle it.
[P1] Do not select an unsupported Vitest version for the unchanged Node CI matrix
The PR changes Vitest and coverage to 4.0.18, whose engine requires Node 20, 22, or 24+, while .github/workflows/build.yml still runs Node 16, 18, and 20. Node 16 is only installed with --ignore-engines; the test step still executes the unsupported Vitest, and Node 18 is installed without that override. This makes the repository's declared CI matrix unable to run the PR's test command. The required outcome is a dependency/workflow combination that passes the declared Node matrix.
[P1] Do not publish a lower package version than the base release
package.json at the base is version 1.4.2, while this head publishes 1.4.0. This is an externally visible package metadata regression independent of lockfile consistency. The required outcome is that the published package version is not downgraded relative to the base release and follows the repository's release/versioning contract.
[P2] Restore the repository's mandatory formatting check
The declared npm run check-format equivalent (prettier --check .) fails on 15 changed files, including runtime and test files. This is a failed mandatory validation at the reviewed head, not a style preference; the required outcome is a passing repository formatter check.
Verification:
npm ci: passed; npm reported 13 audit vulnerabilities (1 low, 1 moderate, 9 high, 2 critical).npm test -- --run: passed, 10 files / 91 tests.npm run build:esm && npm run build:cjs: passed.npm run check-format: failed; Prettier reported 15 files.- Exact-head Actions runs: none returned for this SHA. CHANGES REQUESTED - Original fixes are in place, but real-SDK verification exposes two render-phase regressions.

Round 2; responsibility range: complete merge-base..head.
Previous review disposition
The ready-context hook now recomputes on name/peek changes; changed JSON-valued attributes retrigger the readiness effect; Object.fromEntries has been replaced; function fallbacks receive a non-null ErrorInfo-shaped value; CI targets Node 20/22; and formatting passes. Those original findings are addressed. Correction and retraction: my previous package-version downgrade finding was wrong: the supplied base is 1.4.0, not 1.4.2. No version bump was required to resolve that claim. I apologize for the incorrect finding.
Findings
Two inline findings cover assignment before component attributes are applied and exposure logging from an abandoned render. Both existed at the previous head and are independent PR changes, not remediation regressions. The new evidence is an exact-base/head comparison using the real installed JavaScript SDK rather than mocked Context methods; the first review did not exercise this interaction. Existing CodeRabbit discussions were checked to avoid duplicating their child-index, recovery-state and weak-test comments.

Review round 3; responsibility range: complete merge-base..head.
Scope and prior acceptance criteria
The PR adds SSR selection, readiness/error handling, public hooks and an ErrorBoundary, strengthens types, and expands tests/docs. These affect provider-backed and explicit-context components plus public hook consumers; no rollout flag is involved. The description reports 73 unit and 99/138 cross-SDK tests; the current repository suite contains 91 tests.
The previous first-assignment criterion is satisfied: real-SDK strict country=US audience probes render variant 1 with component attributes in both Treatment and TreatmentFunction, including SSR; the same fixture without attributes selects 0. The previous abandoned-render exposure criterion is satisfied: Treatment, TreatmentFunction and useTreatment each commit only a Suspense fallback with pending()=0. Render selection now uses peek and exposure tracking runs after commit. Round-1 fixes remain in place; the earlier incorrect version-downgrade claim remains retracted.
Findings and lineage
One new P2 inline finding: the added readiness/error API treats a failed real SDK context as successful. Lineage: independent PR change, present in the original shared readiness/error implementation, not introduced by the latest remediation. Earlier reviews concentrated on assignment/exposure lifecycle and did not probe the real SDK's fulfilled-ready failure contract; the new evidence is a rejecting data-provider probe against the installed SDK. Acceptance: failed SDK initialization must produce the readiness error state and component error UI, both after awaiting readiness and when supplied an already-failed ready context.
I also verified the material speculative-attribute issue already reported in the existing thread: only FALLBACK commits, yet shared country=US and a variant-1 audience assignment remain. This is a remediation regression from applying component attributes in the initializer. It is not duplicated inline here. Its stable outcome is that an abandoned component cannot alter subsequent shared-context targeting, while committed/SSR selection still respects supplied attributes. The existing child-reorder and mock-quality threads were read and are not duplicated. No human adjudication is triggered by two unsuccessful remediation rounds at this point.
Verification
npm ci: passed on Node v22.22.1; npm reports 13 audit vulnerabilities (1 low, 1 moderate, 9 high, 2 critical); no audit fixes applied.npm test -- --run: passed, 91 tests / 10 files, with coverage.npm run check-format: passed, including a rerun with the committed Yarn lock restored.npm run build:esmandnpm run build:cjs: passed. Direct compiler scripts were used; the Yarn wrapper and prepack's dependency-upgrading command were not run. No separate lint script is declared.- Real-SDK React DOM/SSR/Suspense probes: targeting positive/negative controls, abandoned-render pending exposure counts, and failed initialization; no publishing or network requests in the final probes.
- Failed-provider reproduction: SDK 1.13.0 resolves ready(), isReady()=true and isFailed()=true; mounted Treatment with an explicit CUSTOM ERROR fallback instead renders CONTROL, TreatmentFunction renders FUNCTION 0, and there are zero error alerts.
- Exact-head paginated Actions API: zero workflow runs. Checks API: zero check runs. Commit statuses: CodeRabbit success only. There is no passing repository workflow result for this head; this is not a CI-only deferral because code blockers survive.
- Introduced-content helper completed successfully: all 79 content writes audited alongside the cumulative diff. Pattern matches were test placeholders, not real credentials.

The PR adds SSR/readiness support, initialization-error handling, public hooks and an ErrorBoundary, stricter types, and broader tests for the React SDK. I re-read the current cumulative diff, all commits, PR description and discussion, prior reviews and inline threads, and the exact-head status sources. The previously open criteria are satisfied at this head: ready-context changes re-select without exposure; component attributes are applied before the first assignment and on subsequent updates; abandoned renders do not emit exposure; child changes re-select via peek; and failed SDK contexts surface the error state instead of rendering treatment content. - Unresolved original blockers: 0
- Remediation regressions: 0
- Independent PR-change findings: 2
- Acceptance criteria still open: (1) one asynchronous initialization must invoke ready processing and record exposure once; (2) the tracked package lock must install the declared package.json dependency graph with
npm ci. - Human adjudication requested: no — both criteria are directly reproducible and actionable.
Scope and intent
The cumulative change adds SSR/readiness support, initialization-error handling, public hooks and an ErrorBoundary, React Native agent selection, stricter types, and broader tests. The latest merge from main adds the React Native agent defaults and failed-context SSR initialization state, and adjusts context lifecycle handling. I re-read the current diff, all commits, PR discussion and inline threads, the previous reviews, and exact-head CI.
Findings
The two verified findings are posted inline:
-
[P2] Avoid invoking the ready callback twice after asynchronous initialization (independent PR change).
isContextReadyis computed during render and is an effect dependency. An initially unready context entersready(), whose resolution callsonReadyRef.current; that state update causes a render in whichcontext.isReady()is true, reruns this effect, and calls the same callback again.TreatmentandTreatmentFunctionuse that callback to call exposure-producingcontext.treatment(name), so one mount can queue two exposures without a name, attribute, or context change. Acceptance criterion: one unready-to-ready transition invokes the ready callback and exposure-producing treatment lookup exactly once. -
[P2] Keep the tracked npm lockfile synchronized with package.json (independent PR change). The newly tracked
package-lock.jsondeclares@absmartly/javascript-sdk^1.13.0, whilepackage.jsondeclares^1.13.4;npm citherefore fails before installing dependencies with an out-of-sync lockfile error. Scope and prior-review disposition
The PR adds SSR selection, readiness/error handling, public hooks and ErrorBoundary, stricter types, and expanded tests/docs for provider-backed and explicit-context React consumers. No rollout flag is involved. The description's 73-unit-test count is historical; the exact-head suite now passes 93 tests. I re-read the cumulative changes, latest remediation, discussion, author replies, prior reviews and inline threads.
Both round-5 criteria are satisfied: an asynchronous readiness transition now invokes useContextReady's callback and the component's treatment lookup once, and the redundant npm lockfile is removed with Yarn explicitly confirmed as the package manager. The replacement context is also created before finalizing the current one; an invalid empty-UID reset leaves the original context usable and reports contextError. Earlier hook-input, changed-attribute, browser API, ErrorInfo fallback, CI-engine, formatting, first-assignment targeting, abandoned-render exposure and failed-initialization fixes remain in place. The previously retracted package-version claim remains retracted.
Accepted behavior, not a claimed fix: render-time component attributes still mutate a shared context even if React abandons the render. The responsible owner explicitly accepted that targeting tradeoff in this reply; that decision remains applicable to the unchanged initializer. Real-SDK Suspense probes confirm zero exposure events from the abandoned components, but shared targeting attributes persist. This review honors the explicit risk acceptance rather than describing that behavior as eliminated.
Correction to round 5: the duplicate callback/lookup trace was valid, but the assertion that it necessarily queues duplicate exposures was overstated: the installed SDK 1.13.4 deduplicates an already-exposed assignment. Current probes establish one callback and one treatment call for the remediated hook.

No separate lint script is declared; prepack's dependency-upgrading command was not run.- Primary React DOM probe: asynchronous useContextReady gives exactly one callback and treatment call; asynchronous Treatment renders TEST with one treatment call. Already-failed SSR renders the custom error fallback.
- Independent read-only real-SDK 1.13.4 probes: one callback/lookup/exposure for async readiness; invalid reset retains a non-finalized usable old context; abandoned Treatment and TreatmentFunction commit only the Suspense fallback with zero pending exposures.

❌ Changes requested
The 1.5.0 version bump and release notes introduce no runtime changes, but the new changelog breaks the required formatting check. There is one blocker; all 93 tests and both library builds pass locally.
Next step: Format CHANGELOG.md and rerun the required checks.
Must fix
- Restore the required formatting check — the changelog fails Prettier, stopping CI before tests and builds.

- ✅ Frozen Yarn installation and all 93 tests across 10 files pass locally.

- ❌ Required formatting fails locally on
CHANGELOG.md; exact-head CI also fails at formatting.

❌ Changes requested
The changelog formatting blocker is fixed, and both CI jobs pass. The full re-review found three issues: a reset failure can leave an unused context refreshing indefinitely, and two groups of added tests still pass when their claimed behavior is broken.
Next step: Clean up the unused replacement on failed reset and make the named tests detect the demonstrated regressions.
Must fix
- Release the replacement context after a failed reset — failed publishing can leave an orphan refresh timer for every reset attempt.
src/components/SDKProvider/SDKProvider.tsx:85–91 - Make the error-rendering tests fail when their behavior is removed — the development-message and custom-fallback tests pass with those behaviors disabled.
tests/fix-plan.test.tsx:175–180,275–280 - Actually pin server-rendered hook selection — both hook SSR tests pass when its ready-context initializer always selects zero.
tests/ssr.test.tsx:43–84
Suggestions
- One small non-blocking state simplification is recorded in the details.
What I checked
- ✅ Frozen dependency installation, formatting, 93 tests across 10 files, and ESM/CommonJS builds pass locally.
- ✅ Exact-head CI passes on Node 20 and 22, including format, tests, and build.
- ✅ The previous changelog-format acceptance criterion is satisfied.
- ❌ A real JavaScript SDK 1.13.4 probe reproduces one then two orphan refresh intervals after failed resets; the base leaves zero.
- ❌ Production-code mutations change the rendered behavior, but the four named tests remain green.

Responsibility range: complete merge-base..head, because this dispatch is a new review request, not only a post-approval head-change review. Since round 7, the sole edit is three blank lines in the changelog; runtime and test candidates below were discovered by the renewed cumulative passes, not introduced by that formatting fix.
Intent and scope
The PR adds SSR treatment selection, readiness/error handling, optional context access and ErrorBoundary, changes reset error reporting, strengthens types, and expands tests/docs. Public provider-backed and explicit-context components, hooks and class/HOC consumers are affected. No rollout flag is present. The description's 73 unit tests and 99/138 cross-SDK figures are historical; the current repository suite has 93 tests. No separate external cross-SDK harness was used as passing evidence. The maintainer selected the 1.5.0 minor bump. The owner's explicit acceptance of render-time targeting-attribute mutation remains honored; abandoned-render targeting is not represented as fixed.
Convergence summary — review round 8
- Unresolved original blockers: 0
- Remediation regressions: 1 (unused replacement resources after finalize rejection)
- Independent PR-change findings: 2 (one measured vacuous-test finding per test file)
- Acceptance criteria still open: unused replacement resources released on reset failure while failed creation preserves the old context; each named test detects its stated mutation or relinquishes that claim to a test that does.
- Human adjudication requested: no — these are newly demonstrated criteria, not two consecutive unsuccessful remediation attempts.
Lineage and new evidence
The reset finding arises from d2d55db's create-before-finalize remediation of the earlier reset creation-failure thread. Earlier probes exercised invalid creation, not publish rejection after successful replacement creation. The test findings are independent PR changes predating approval, now in scope under the new review request; earlier rounds did not perform these mutations. They are measured P2 findings under the vacuous-test definition, not generic demands for more coverage.

❌ Changes requested
The previous reset-cleanup and four test fixes are verified, and all 94 tests plus both CI jobs pass. Two issues remain: a parent rerender during reset can crash the treatment tree, and two production-error tests still pass with their claimed protection disabled.
Next step: Keep treatment rendering safe while reset is publishing, and make the two production-error tests detect the demonstrated mutations.
Must fix
- Keep child reselection safe during reset — rerendering while the old context is finalizing throws from the effect and leaves the error boundary on its fallback even after reset succeeds.
src/components/Treatment/Treatment.tsx:107–111 - Actually verify production error-message suppression — both production-error tests remain green when the components expose the message in production.
tests/fix-plan.test.tsx:147–152,200–205
Suggestions
- The earlier small, non-blocking ErrorBoundary state simplification remains in the details.
What I checked
- ✅ Frozen Yarn installation, formatting, all 94 tests across 10 files, and ESM/CommonJS builds pass.
- ✅ Exact-head CI passes on Node 20 and 22, including install, format, tests and build.
- ✅ Failed-reset cleanup releases the unused replacement and keeps the old context supplied. All four tests named in the previous review now fail their stated mutations.
- ❌ Real-SDK reset/rerender probe crashes at head; substituting the base Treatment implementation does not.
- ❌ Two unchanged production-error tests pass against mutations that visibly disclose the error message.

Intent and consumers
This adds SSR selection, readiness/error handling, public hooks and ErrorBoundary, changes reset error reporting, strengthens types and expands tests/docs for provider-backed and explicit-context React components, hooks and HOC consumers. No rollout flag is present. The maintainer selected version 1.5.0. The description's 73 unit tests and 99/138 cross-SDK figures are historical; the current suite has 94 tests. No external cross-SDK harness is counted as passing evidence. The owner's explicit acceptance of render-time targeting-attribute mutation remains honored, not represented as fixed.
Convergence summary — review round 9
- Unresolved original blockers: 0
- Remediation regressions: 1 (children-reselection effect during reset)
- Independent PR-change findings: 1 (newly demonstrated vacuous production-error tests, aggregated per file)
- Acceptance criteria still open: rerendering children during reset must not throw or strand the tree on an error fallback; each named production-error test must detect its stated mutation, or relinquish the claim to another test demonstrated to detect it.
- Human adjudication requested: no — the previous criteria are satisfied; these newly demonstrated criteria have not undergone two unsuccessful remediation rounds.
The previous cleanup criterion is satisfied: real SDK 1.13.4 with refreshPeriod=60000, a pending goal and rejecting publisher leaves zero live intervals, finalizes the unused replacement, and keeps the non-finalized old context supplied. The two earlier error-rendering tests now reject disabled development-message/custom-fallback behavior; both hook SSR tests reject a ready initializer returning zero.

❌ Changes requested
The two issues from the previous review are fixed, and all 95 tests plus both CI jobs pass. One verified issue remains: changing a useTreatment input while an identity reset is publishing can throw out of the hook and leave its tree on an error-boundary fallback. Given the repeated lifecycle regressions across remediation rounds, I am also asking the maintainer to adjudicate the remaining reset/error-handling criterion.
Next step: Keep ready-path evaluation failures inside the hook's error-handling contract, or explicitly accept this specific reset-time crash risk.
Must fix
- Contain ready-path SDK exceptions in
useTreatment— a name change during reset escapes the effect and permanently trips the surrounding boundary.src/hooks/useTreatment.ts:21–25
Human review required
Please choose whether to fix the remaining criterion—changing a mounted hook's inputs while reset publishes must not escape the hook and strand the tree—or explicitly accept that crash risk/change the intended contract. The evidence below establishes the failure; this is a request for risk adjudication, not an unknown runtime premise. Needed from: the React SDK maintainer.

Convergence summary — review round 10
- Unresolved original blockers: 0
- Remediation regressions: 1 (
useTreatmentready-path exception bypass) - Independent PR-change findings: 0
- Acceptance criteria still open: changing mounted hook inputs during an in-flight reset must not escape the hook's error handling or strand its tree on a boundary fallback.
- Human adjudication requested: yes — consecutive full re-reviews have replaced fixed blockers with newly demonstrated lifecycle regressions; the maintainer should choose fix, explicit risk acceptance, or intended-contract change.
The previous children-only reselection criterion is satisfied: a real SDK held-publisher probe renders the updated child during and after reset, without boundary fallback. The new regression test fails when the lifecycle guard is removed. Both production-error tests fail when their respective development-message guards are replaced with true. Earlier reset cleanup and SSR/error assertion fixes remain present.
The remaining finding is a late-discovered remediation regression in the hook ready-input handling introduced in 6bce35e, linked to the round-1 hook-input finding. Earlier checks exercised successful ready-context name changes; the new evidence exercises evaluation failure while the real SDK is finalizing. It is independently fixable from Treatment's children-reselection guard.

The latest hook fix works, and all 96 tests, both builds and both CI jobs pass. Two reset-time crashes remain: mounting a new hook while publishing is in flight, and changing a declarative treatment's name in that interval. Both can leave the experiment tree on an error-boundary fallback after reset succeeds. The maintainer should adjudicate these remaining lifecycle cases.
Next step: Contain these reset-time evaluation failures, or explicitly accept their specific crash risks/change the supported contract.

Please choose whether to fix the two demonstrated cases—declarative input changes and new hook mounts during reset must not escape the SDK's error-handling boundary—or explicitly accept those crash risks/change the intended contract. Needed from: the React SDK maintainer. This continues the previous request for lifecycle-risk adjudication; the previous mounted-hook input criterion itself is now satisfied.

The existing public SDK surface and documented login/logout reset establish supported reachability; no claim about particular customers is needed. The owner's explicit acceptance of render-time targeting-attribute mutation remains honored, not represented as fixed.
Convergence summary — review round 11
- Unresolved original blockers: 0
- Remediation regressions: 1 (synchronous shared readiness callback exceptions)
- Independent PR-change findings: 1 (SSR hook initializer exceptions)
- Acceptance criteria still open: declarative input changes during reset must not throw out of readiness handling or strand the boundary; mounting a hook during reset must not throw out of its initializer or strand the boundary, while retaining immediate selection for usable ready contexts.
- Human adjudication requested: yes — repeated lifecycle findings across remediation rounds warrant an explicit maintainer choice among fixing, accepting the specific risks, or changing the supported contract. These are verified failures, not unknown runtime premises.
The round-10 criterion is satisfied. With the real SDK and a held publisher, changing a mounted hook's name now produces HOOK_ERROR during reset and HOOK_OK after replacement. The two current findings are not introduced by the latest catch. The first is a late-discovered regression in the synchronous ready callback handling used to remediate initially-ready/input behavior; earlier finalization probes isolated child-only reselection or useTreatment rather than changing declarative names. The second is an independent SSR-initializer change from cf21e7f, missed because earlier probes mounted the hook before finalization. New real-SDK mount-during-reset evidence establishes it. The ordinary responsibility and materiality rules apply despite late discovery.

Next step: Make the repeated-reset test detect the demonstrated stale-context regression.

- ✅ The repeated-reset test fails the exact production mutation from the previous review and passes against the submitted implementation.
- ✅ All 101 tests across 10 files pass with coverage, including SSR selection, initialization errors and reset-time exception containment.
- ✅ Frozen Yarn installation, repository formatting and ESM/CommonJS TypeScript builds pass.
- ✅ Exact-head CI passes on Node 20 and 22, including install, formatting, tests and builds.
- ✅ Independent runtime, shared-hook and test/packaging passes found no new blocker.

Review round 13; complete merge-base..head responsibility range for this new review request. The head/base were re-fetched before submission and remain unchanged.
Intent and consumers
The PR adds SSR treatment selection, readiness/error handling, optional context access and ErrorBoundary, asynchronous reset error reporting, stricter types, expanded tests/docs and the maintainer-selected 1.5.0 release. Provider-backed and explicit-context components, public hooks and class/HOC consumers are affected; no rollout flag is involved. The description's 73 unit tests and 99/138 cross-SDK figures are historical; no external cross-SDK harness is counted as current passing evidence. The owner's explicit acceptance of render-time targeting-attribute mutation in discussion_r4328772068 remains honored, not represented as fixed. That accepted tradeoff is unchanged by this remediation.
Convergence summary — review round 13
- Unresolved original blockers: 0
- Remediation regressions: 0
- Independent PR-change findings: 0
- Acceptance criteria still open: none
- Human adjudication requested: no — the previous reset exception-containment criteria remain satisfied, and the final test criterion is now demonstrated to pass.
The tip adds assertions that the original context and first replacement are each finalized exactly once across two resets. In a separate scratch worktree, changing only const ctx = contextRef.current; to const ctx = providedContext; while retaining callback dependencies [sdk] now fails the unchanged named test at line 103: expected original.finalize once, received twice. This satisfies the exact prior acceptance criterion. The earlier catches, child-reselection finalization guards, replacement cleanup, SSR selection and stricter error-rendering tests remain present and green; no earlier blocker survives.
Validation and evidence
Node v22.22.1, Yarn 1.22.22, locked JavaScript SDK 1.13.4 and Vitest 4.1.12:
npx --yes yarn@1.22.22 install --frozen-lockfile: passed; tracked files unchanged.npx --yes yarn@1.22.22 test --run: 101/101 tests in 10 files passed with V8 coverage (92.18% lines). Expected error-boundary test diagnostics do not represent failed tests.npx --yes yarn@1.22.22 check-format: passed.npx --yes yarn@1.22.22 build: ESM and CommonJS TypeScript compilation passed. No separate lint script is declared. Dependency-upgrading prepack was not run; the repository build and CI gates were run.git diff --check e4f0635 HEAD: passed. Independenttsc --noEmitalso passed.- Scratch mutation command:
node node_modules/vitest/vitest.mjs run tests/fix-plan-provider.test.tsx -t 'resetContext should work after multiple calls without stale closure' --coverage.enabled=false: 1 failed at the new finalization assertion, 4 deselected, as expected. Tests were not edited. - Actions run 40010334267: completed successfully at this exact head; build (22.x), job 120608762367, and build (20.x), job 120608762825, passed every material step. CodeRabbit status is success / Review paused, not fresh code-analysis evidence.
- Independent real-SDK hook probe observed two treatment evaluations after async readiness versus one at base, but one queued exposure in both trees because the SDK deduplicates it. This is redundant bounded work, not a duplicate-exposure defect.
- Introduced-content helper completed successfully: 111 content writes / 111 unique blobs, including historical content absent at head. Audited paths and credential-like matches: test placeholders, documentation environment references and type declarations, not credentials. No scratch or unwanted artifact found.
Passes (non-blocking): run: core runtime/API/security/data/error paths (provider, hooks, components); tests/CI/packaging (tests, workflow and dependency changes); shared-component blast radius/interaction complexity (public React consumers and effects); cross-cutting simplicity; behaviour-bearing configuration (TypeScript and CI); deployment/operations/observability pass scoped to warning/error/exposure emission and context lifecycle; comment hygiene; diff composition | not run: infrastructure/deployment validation (no deployment manifests, migrations, infrastructure or operator procedures changed). Three independent risk-focused passes supplemented primary verification and judgment.
Comment hygiene (non-blocking): 9 comment / 2094 code lines, ratio ~1:233, none flagged
threshold T=21; restatements counted: no (10 × C < E)
Counts include executed test source. The three blocks preserve non-obvious render-selection versus committed-exposure and SDK-finalization constraints, rather than narrating review history.
Diff composition (non-blocking): every file is required for the change; none flagged
Simplifications (non-blocking): 7 candidates
These are local suggestions, not demonstrated threshold-crossing alternatives. LOC deltas below are estimates; no measured simplification blocker is claimed.
ErrorBoundary.tsx: hasError duplicates whether error is truthy; smaller alternative: remove that field and guard on error, retaining errorInfo/fallback behavior; LOC delta approximately -3. Previously noted.Treatment.tsx: childrenInfoRef adds indirection; smaller alternative: capture memoized childrenInfo in getSelectedChildIndex and include it in callback dependencies, retaining reselection guards and the readiness hook's latest-callback behavior; LOC delta approximately -3.TreatmentFunction.tsx: undefined variant state is not exposed in the loaded branch; smaller alternative: store a numeric variant initialized to zero and pass the loaded state directly, retaining the loading branch's zero override; LOC delta approximately -5 to -8.tests/fix-plan-provider.test.tsx: duplicated fresh-context factories; smaller alternative: one local factory passed to separate vi.fn wrappers, preserving distinct histories and fresh per-context method mocks; LOC delta approximately -10 to -12, equivalence not demonstrated through mandatory gates.tests/SDKProvider.test.tsx: duplicated fresh-context factories; smaller alternative: the same local-factory approach, without a cross-file abstraction; LOC delta approximately -12 to -14, equivalence not demonstrated through mandatory gates.tsconfig.json: four explicit options repeat strict:true defaults; smaller alternative: omit strictFunctionTypes, strictBindCallApply, strictPropertyInitialization and alwaysStrict while retaining strict:true; LOC delta -4 configuration lines.useTreatment.ts: async readiness triggers a second evaluation when isContextReady changes the effect dependency; smaller alternative: check context.isReady() inside the effect and depend on context/name/peek, as the declarative readiness hook does; LOC delta approximately 0, removing redundant bounded execution rather than an abstraction. The real SDK probe queued one exposure in both cases.
Run a simplification pass locally before pushing: these candidates cost less to address now than as a further review round.
