I build and review backends where a record has to be correct, attributable and still provable months later: health and device data, ingestion that survives being replayed, audit trails that answer who changed what, and on whose authority.
5+ years of Python backend work · previously Netguru · now independent, working on regulated health data. Based in Poland (CET), working in English and Polish.
Worth a look
- szawel.com: a server-authoritative game as a backend demo. Rules exist once, server-side; every command is signed and replay-protected; the console reads as an audit trail. Play it.
- target-analyzer: scoring photos of paper targets, with classic CV, a VLM and a custom YOLO compared side by side on identical data.
- expense-analyzer: self-hosted expense analysis: financial data parsed and categorised on your own hardware, never a third party's.
- esphome-cht8305-bitbang: an ESPHome component from de-clouding Tuya BK7231N devices: vendor firmware out, authenticated local control in.
