FAQ

Tip

For command syntax, start with Usage. For errors, use Troubleshooting.

Is MHDDoS free?

Yes. The project is open source under the MIT license. Do not pay anyone for it. If someone is selling it, treat that as a scam.

Can I use it on any website?

No. Use it only on systems you own or have written permission to test. The authors do not authorize attacks on third parties.

Which Python version do I need?

Python 3.11 or newer. The container uses Python 3.12.

Why does doctor fail on raw sockets?

Raw sockets need root on Linux or NET_RAW in Docker. Windows normally needs an elevated shell. This only affects SYN, ICMP, OVH-UDP, and the amplification methods.

Why is the web panel missing after docker run?

The image contains the CLI only. The web panel runs from a source checkout and needs Node.js. See Web Panel.

Why do my proxies not work?

Check them with PROXYCHECK in the tools console. A large list of dead proxies is common. A few working, low-latency proxies are better.

Why does a bypass method return 403?

WAF challenges change. A method that worked last month may fail today. Bypasses are best-effort; there is no guarantee.

Why does HTTPS work with a self-signed certificate?

Verification and hostname checking are disabled by design. The tool must be able to reach arbitrary authorized targets, including test servers with self-signed certificates.

Why does TLS 1.0/1.1 fail?

MHDDoS sets TLS 1.2 as the minimum. Older protocol versions are intentionally rejected.

Where are the wordlists?

files/useragent.txt
files/referers.txt

Layer 7 reads them at startup and fails early if either is empty.

Where do proxies go?

files/proxies/. The CLI takes a bare filename such as http.txt.

How do I stop a run?

Ctrl+C, or python3 start.py STOP from another terminal. STOP only affects processes from the same checkout.

Can I add my own proxy provider?

Yes. Add an entry to proxy-providers in config.json:

{"type": 5, "url": "https://example.com/socks5.txt", "timeout": 5}

Why are thread and RPC limits only warnings?

The tool leaves the final choice to the operator. Values that are too high can exhaust file descriptors, ports, or memory. Start low and raise gradually.

Does it work on Windows?

The CLI runs on Windows. Raw-socket methods are limited without administrator rights. The web panel works with Node.js and the provided installer.

Does it work on ARM?

The Docker workflow builds linux/amd64 and linux/arm64. Native installs work if the dependencies have wheels for the platform.

Where do I report a bug?

Use GitHub Issues. Include the method, command, Python version, and the error output. Do not include proxy credentials or private keys.
