Drop alamlinux 8 and ubuntu 22,04 (old). Add ubuntu 26.04 (new LTS). Switch clang test to almalinux 10.
The cgi module was removed in Python 3.13 and CGIHTTPRequestHandler is deprecated for removal in 3.15. http_block.py is now a small BaseHTTPRequestHandler server, launched directly by test_net.py, that serves the requested number of 1KB blocks on localhost. I don't really understand the almalinux:10 failure as it doesn't happen for me locally... |
Test failures in CI don't produce useful output from ctest, so now if a failure is detected then logfiles get dumped for inspection: - LastTest.log from any failure detected by ctest - The prmon output files, if a Python test script detects a failure

Well, bugger me, I instrument the failures and now it passes! Chalk it up to CI glitch? Clearly the log file printing is definitely useful, so some good has come of this. |

This update revealed that our testing of network parameters was way out of date, relying on the deprecated
cgimodule in Python. This didn't work on Ubuntu 26.04, which has Python 3.14. With a bit of Claude help this is now updated to a standard http server process, which also avoids thehttp.server.CGIHTTPRequestHandlerdeprecation, scheduled for Python 3.15.
