Summary

  • Fixed the incorrect function name in platform_utils.py's __all__ list.
  • Fixed get_mysys2_path() to raise RuntimeError correctly on unsupported platforms.
  • Added unit tests covering platform detection, package manager detection, distro labels, subprocess flags, and MSYS2 path handling.
  • Added a GitHub Actions job to run the Tool Manager unit tests using pytest.

Testing

  • Ran python -m pytest src/toolManager/tests -q locally on Windows.
  • Result: 23 passed.

Notes

The existing platform smoke-test jobs have been retained. The new unit-test job runs on Ubuntu using Python 3.11.
