screen-reader-cli is a package for everyone, so the repo shouldn't describe one person's setup.

Removed from CLAUDE.md:

  • the "work machine" sections: a local clone path, a private script, notes about switching GitHub accounts, which computer uses which install;
  • the owner's personal explanation preferences.

Kept, written for any contributor:

  • branch → PR, never push to main;
  • file an issue (root cause and proposed fix) for bugs found while using the tool in another project.

Updated: the Claude Code skill's install notes said to npm link a clone, or to use npm "once published". The package is on npm, so they now say npm install -g screen-reader-cli.

Not changed, on purpose: the author name in package.json, the copyright line in LICENSE (the MIT licence requires it) and the GitHub links. Any published package carries these.

Merging this does not publish anything: the version is unchanged, and none of these files ship in the npm package.

screen-reader-cli is a package for everyone. CLAUDE.md described one
person's machines, local script paths, account notes and explanation
preferences; those are gone. What stays applies to any contributor: branch
and PR, never push to main, and file an issue for bugs found while using the
tool in another project.

The Claude Code skill's install notes said to `npm link` a clone, or to use
npm "once published". The package is published, so they now say
`npm install -g screen-reader-cli`.
