CleanJoin

A super-lightweight Minecraft plugin for Bukkit/Spigot/Paper that gives you total control over join and quit messages.

Features

• Silent Mode: If no config is found, the plugin automatically hides all join/leave messages.
• Custom Messages: Define your own text in the config.
• Performance: Minimal footprint, uses modern Adventure API (Paper).
• Priority: Runs at HIGHEST priority to override other plugins (like Essentials).

Installation

1. Download the .jar file and drop it into your plugins folder.
2. Restart your server.
3. (Optional) Create plugins/CleanJoin/config.yml to customize messages.

Configuration

If the config.yml file does not exist, the plugin defaults to hidden messages To customize them, create the file with the following format:

join-message: "join"
quit-message: "quit"

Note: Set a value to an empty string "" if you want to hide that specific message.

Motivation

This project was inspired by the Remove Join & Leave Messages plugin. While that plugin works, it logs directly to stdout, which can cause issues or clutter the console in some environments.

CleanJoin improves upon this by:

• Using proper Bukkit Logging API.
• Implementing Adventure API for better compatibility with modern Paper servers.
• Adding an optional configuration for those who want custom text instead of just hiding messages.
