overflow: scroll always draws empty vertical and horizontal scrollbar tracks with classic (non-overlay) scrollbars (Windows, Linux, Firefox), even when nothing overflows. This showed as a white band under the companions list (parser and about pages), under the options list, and around every stats section on mobile. Use overflow: auto instead, so a scrollbar only appears when content actually overflows. On narrow screens the two companion columns stack but kept a 40% basis, wrapping names onto 3-4 lines; use the full width below 768px.
