pixi: bound the parallel build on Linux - #1252

Conversation
cmake --build --parallel without a number makes the Makefile generator run an unbounded make -j, which exhausts the memory of the GitHub runners: the ubuntu pixi job dies with 'The runner has received a shutdown signal' and no compiler error. Override the build task on linux-64 to use $(nproc); the Visual Studio generator on Windows is already bounded to the cores. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

pixi run buildcallscmake --build . --parallelwithout a job count. With the Makefile generator on Linux, that becomes an unboundedmake -j, which runs out of memory on the GitHub runner. Thepixi_conda_build (ubuntu-latest)job then dies with "The runner has received a shutdown signal" and no compiler error. It happened on #1247, mid-compile of files that PR doesn't touch. This adds a
buildoverride under[target.linux-64.tasks]that uses--parallel $(nproc). Windows keeps the shared task: the Visual Studio generator already caps--parallelat the core count, andnprocdoesn't exist there. I checked that pixi's task shell expands$(nproc).🤖 Generated with Claude Code
