[Compute] az sig image-version show/list-shared and show/list-community: no changes required (correction to #34074) #34229
az sig image-version show-shared
az sig image-version list-shared
az sig image-version show-community
az sig image-version list-community
Resource Provider
Microsoft.Compute
Description
This corrects section 4 of #34074 ("Shared and community image-version response fields").
#34074 asked for these four commands to be regenerated with API version 2026-03-03 or later and for their output schemas to be updated. That is wrong. No changes are required to these four commands.
Do not change their api-version.
Do not change their output schemas.
Existing behavior must remain unchanged.
If any change to these commands was made as part of #34074 / #34107, it should be reverted.
Why this matters
After upgrading Azure CLI from 2.87.0 to 2.91.0, this command stopped working:
az sig image-version list-shared --gallery-unique-name "WINDOWSSERVER.1P" --location eastus2 \
--gallery-image-definition "2025-datacenter-azure-edition-smalldisk" --shared-to tenant
It fails with:
(NoRegisteredProviderFound) No registered resource provider found for location 'eastus2' and API version '2026-03-01' for type 'locations/sharedGalleries'. The supported api-versions are '... 2026-03-03, 2026-04-01'.
On 2.87.0 the same command returns results. The cause has not been confirmed, so please check whether the api-version of these commands changed between those releases.

x-engineering-agent treated this as a known API-version availability issue, referred to a workaround and closed it. I have manually opened this as this should remain open for investigation.
