Publish the top-level edge-action authoring models for stable service API 2026-10-01: nine JSON/XML resource-model pairs and 18 stable commands, with command metadata and corrected help examples.

• Preserve GenericOnly GET -> instance update -> PUT for Edge Action, version, and execution-filter updates. Execution-filter version/header arguments, download compatibility, and swap-default polling customizations remain owned by the companion CLI extension.
• Retain the exact 2025-09-01-preview and 2025-12-01-preview version blocks in all 18 migrated command files, and retain both preview attachment-command entries in the group index. These were restored after reviewing the export; no stable attachment commands are introduced.
• Limit this migration to top-level edge-action. Following review, remove the new cdn edge-action list metadata and its subscription-list 2026-10-01 JSON/XML model pair. Existing CDN commands and preview models remain unchanged from the PR base. No subscription-list behavior is moved into the top-level group; edge-action list remains resource-group scoped.
• Register edge-action in the root command index. This is the only root-index change; the unrelated managedcleanroom normalization has been removed from the PR.
• Preserve the corrected stable update/help examples, including a valid ZIP payload in the deploy-version-code example.

Validation

Using the existing aaz-dev installation in the CLI extension virtual environment, without changing that checkout. Revalidated for review-fix commit 39a5b2f0d3e6dc7fbc971b3c196dd88044f3ac8f:

The session-local script verifies exact preservation of 36 historical version blocks and both attachment entries; all 54 migrated command/version combinations resolve through the AAZ loader; all nine JSON models load and their XML files match the supported renderer output exactly; all three updates use GET -> instanceUpdate -> PUT with no PATCH; all stable command groups are top-level edge-action; edge-action list remains resource-group scoped; and the stable deployment example contains a valid ZIP with index.js. It also verifies that Commands/cdn has no diff against the original PR base and that the root-index diff contains only the edge-action registration. The script is not committed to the repository.

The unfiltered command C:\wcodebase\repos\azure-cli-extensions\.venv\Scripts\aaz-dev.exe command-model verify --aaz-path C:\wcodebase\repos\aaz was started during initial publication but stopped after a prolonged run with no output. Full-repository local verification is not claimed passed; the repository CI workflow remains the full-repository check.

For the review-fix commit, the pre-commit hook ran successfully with the existing virtual environment's Scripts directory on PATH. Its cdn target passed; the hook's readme.md file target is not a substantive root-index validation, so the exact root-index comparison above provides that coverage. No live Azure operations were performed.
