Disclosure: I maintain a fork of this extension, so I have a related interest. Thank you to everyone who built this.

For people following this issue, fixes for several open bugs are already waiting here as pull requests:

   • fix(storage): parse enums properly #1451 — algorithm parsing (SHA-256/512 QR codes giving wrong codes, Scanning QR codes with SHA-512 (or SHA-256) generates wrong codes unless added manually #1593)
   • Fix: normalize Base32 secret from QR import before TOTP generation #1547 — Base32 padding from QR import (TOTP generation fails when Base32 secret is not properly padded (missing padding handling) #1546)
   • Fix incomplete unencrypted backup for EncOTPStorage entries #1578 — plaintext-backup completeness (Unencrypted backup is incomplete #1445; a similar symptom was reported in Manual backup not saving all entries #1568)

I've also opened #1598 for #722 (follow the system theme).

In #1451 a maintainer mentioned that time to merge and deploy is the constraint. If it would help, I can test those open PRs against current Chrome and Firefox and report results on each PR. Is there anything else contributors can do to make reviewing easier?
