🖥 SurfaceRT_VNC — touch-first remote desktop for a tablet everyone gave up on
Surface RT runs ARM 32-bit on Windows RT 8.1 and cannot run Win32 desktop apps — so a normal VNC/RDP client is impossible. This is a Windows Store app (C#) that speaks VNC/RFB (RFC 6143) directly and turns the tablet into a touch remote desktop:
- Touch = mouse · one finger = left click, drag = drag, 600 ms long-press = right click
- Two fingers = scroll in Fit mode, pan in 1:1 mode
- Why VNC, not RDP — Microsoft's RDP client stack isn't available to Store apps, and
mstsc.exedoesn't exist on RT
📱 YadYar — iOS smart appointment reminder from Persian messages
Reads Persian chat messages and turns "قرار فردا ساعت ۵" into a real appointment reminder. Persian date handling (fa_IR calendar) is the hard part — and the whole point.
How it works: SwiftUI app + Share Extension (iOS forbids auto-reading other apps' notifications) → a Jalali/English date parser («فردا ساعت ۵ عصر», «۱۴۰۳/۰۸/۱۵ ساعت ۱۰:۳۰», «سه‌شنبه ساعت ۹», «بیست و پنجم بهمن», …) → EventKit + local notifications.
